    Description

1937 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. This pinstriped powerhouse left the rest of the American League in the dust in 1937, outpacing second-place Detroit by thirteen games at the close of the regular season. The dominance continued in the Yanks' World Series meeting with their Giant neighbors, as they claimed the franchise's sixth World Championship. Present on this OAL (Harridge) ball are sixteen representatives of the historic club, most notably the brave captain Lou Gehrig, appropriately positioned on the sweet spot. Fellow Hall of Famers Ruffing, Dickey, Combs and Lazzeri are nearby, as well as secretarial examples of DiMaggio and McCarthy. Signature quality is a rather consistent 5/10, though a couple drop to a still-legible point or two below. Those hoping to acquire a nice yet affordable Gehrig signature on a baseball would be wise to keep an eye on this one. LOA from PSA/DNA.
