Description

1936 New York Yankees & Detroit Tigers Signed Baseball with Gehrig, Cobb. A meeting between the World Champs of the 1935 and 1936 Major League seasons birthed this (OAL) Harridge ball, packed with no fewer than eleven men immortalized in Cooperstown bronze. From the Yanks we find Gehrig, DiMaggio, Lazzeri, Combs, Dickey and McCarthy, while the Tigers provide Cochrane, Simmons, Gehringer and Goslin. The eleventh is also a Detroit feline, but from an earlier age--the great Ty Cobb, who commands a side panel alone. Baker, Perkins and Crosetti round out the cast of characters. Signatures average 8/10 in strength, aided by a coating of shellac which has served its intended purpose admirably. Some minor chipping causes little distraction and only grazes a couple of signatures. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
