    Description

1934 Tour of Japan Team Signed Baseball. One of the most appealing team balls we've yet to encounter from this fascinating baseball tour, as the medium is the very model of Japanese baseball used in competition as the greatest legends of the Majors Leagues battled the best of the Land of the Rising Sun. A full cast of sixteen is represented in black fountain pen ink: Ruth (7/10), Mack (6/10), Gehrig (8/10), Foxx (6/10), Gehringer (7/10), Averill (8/10), Gomez (8/10), Berg (3/10), Miller (5/10), Brown (2/10), Whitehill (7/10), Warstler (7/10), Cascarella (3/10), O'Doul (3/10), Hayes (9/10), McNair (6/10). Ball is toned an attractive, tobacco hue. From the standpoint of baseball history and its development as an international sport, the importance of the Japanese tours in the early 1930's cannot be overstated, so true baseball historians are advised to bid accordingly. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
