    Description

1934 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. A fifteen-season partnership between George Herman Ruth and the New York Yankees franchise would come to an end this season, making this "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" ball a poignant reminder of the end of an era. Ruth (4/10) takes his standard sweet spot position with Gehrig (3/10) just to the right. Also here are Ruffing (8/10), Lazzeri (8/10), Sewell, (6/10), Combs (8/10), Gomez (7/10), Dickey (7/10), providing no shortage of Cooperstown talent. Fletcher, Gomez and McCarthy are the only secretarial signatures. Twenty-seven autographs are here in total, ranging from 2/10 to 9/10 under a thick clear coating which has chipped in places but served its intended purpose quite well. A splendid find for the serious Yankees collector. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
