    Description

1933 KiKi Cuyler Single Signed Baseball. Still licking his wounds after a long winter mulling over the World Series sweep of his Cubs at the hands of the New York Yankees and Babe Ruth's "Called Shot," the Hall of Fame outfielder autographed this ONL (Heydler) ball for a fan at the team's Sacramento, California spring training grounds. Cuyler's tragic early passing at age fifty-one in 1950, eighteen years before his Hall of Fame induction, has severely limited available examples of his single, and here we present just the third we've ever handled. The "Sincerely KiKi Cuyler" inscription was rated a 5/10 by PSA/DNA, with the ball itself a point below to result in a composite VG-EX+ 4.5 grade. A notation in an unknown hand on the opposite panel from Cuyler reads "Sacramento, Cal, March 26, 1933." Full grading LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

This is a most satisfied customer's testimonial of a true gentleman in today's era. It is rare that one encounters through the course of life a person which one has read in childhood' s classics or seen in movies of old.
