    Description

1933 Cleveland Indians Team Signed Baseball with Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson. The Tribe had a respectable fourth place finish in the challenging American League this year, but here they are upstaged by a pair of inaugural class Hall of Famers. The great Bambino is the boldest entry of the twenty-nine autographs applied to this OAL (Harridge) sphere, preserved at a 9/10 level beneath a vintage coating of shellac. We aren't sure why Ruth is here--likely the owner of the ball simply sought out the game's biggest star during a Yankees visit to Cleveland--but the Big Train was serving as Indians manager in 1933, and presents at an 8/10 level on a side panel. Other notables include Averill, Fonseca, Harder, Vosmik, Hale and more. Approximately half of the signatures range from 7/10 to 9/10 and the other half from 4/10 to 6/10, but the keys are in the upper portion. Very rare to find the era's greatest slugger and pitcher together. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
