Description

1932 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. The appearance of the Big Apple club on an official Pacific Coast League ball is explained by the accompanying photocopy of the April 3, 1932 front page of the San Francisco Chronicle Sporting Green, which reports "San Francisco Club Pounds Out 10 to 5 Victory Over New York Giants." It had to be quite a feather in the cap of the Seals team, as the signatures verify a roster which included Ott (in rare and desirable "Melvin Ott" format), Hubbell, Terry, Jackson, Bancroft, Lindstrom, Luque, Fitzsimmons, Critz, Hogan and more. Even Len Koenecke is here, who would be beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by an airplane crewmember trying to stop him from wrenching the yoke from the pilot's hands in 1935. Twenty-one signatures are here in total, averaging 6/10 in strength. All are legible. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
