Description

1932 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & More Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA EX+ 5.5. From the year of his fabled "Called Shot," the provided baseball offers up the game's greatest name in wonderfully bold black fountain pen ink, certainly far exceeding the 7/10 grade assigned by PSA/DNA to the autographs in their entirety. His sidekick Lou Gehrig is equally strong on an adjacent panel. Signatures joining this iconic pair clearly derive from a variety of vintages, as we encounter Carl Erskine, Rip Collins, Ben Chapman, a blue sharpie Enos Slaughter and a few others. A notation in an unknown hand gifts the ball to a fellow named "Bob" on "5/27/32." Ball is a "State League" model, rating 4/10 for the combined PSA/DNA grade as listed. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX+ 5.5. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
