    Description

1931 Tour of Japan Team Signed Baseball. Though not as famous as its 1934 successor, this earlier excursion firmly planted a seed that continued to bloom upon the American return three years later. Best here is a very clean panel with 7/10 or better black ink signatures from the Hall of Fame trio of Maranville, Cochrane and Kelly. Nearby the Cooperstown count is fattened by Gehrig (3/10), Simmons (3/10), Grove (2/10), Frisch (3/10). Fifteen signatures appear in total on the ONL (Heydler) sphere, sealed beneath a light coating of shellac. Condition may be short of pristine, but the considerable rarity and historical importance must mitigate such concerns. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
