    Description

1931 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. An exceptionally bold sweet spot signature from the great Babe Ruth is reason enough to fall in love with the presented team ball, dating to a season in which he and Lou Gehrig tied for the American League lead of forty-six long balls. Gehrig is here as well (in secretarial format), joined by fellow Hall of Famers Lazzeri, Combs, Ruffing, Pennock, Sewell, Dickey and manager Joe McCarthy. The last two in the list are a little light at 2/10 to 3/10, but the rest average 5/10 beneath a light, ancient coating of shellac. Johnson and Pigras are secretarial. Twenty-one signatures total. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
