    Features eight Hall of Famers!

1931 New York Yankees Partial Team Signed Baseball. No team in baseball history was more densely packed with future Cooperstown inductees than the New York Yankees of the early 1930's, with this 1931 incarnation featuring ten men who would make the transition from pinstripes to Hall of Fame bronze. We find all but Herb Pennock and Joe McCarthy on this Official National League (Heydler) sphere, rendered in the boldest of black fountain pen ink. The cast of characters: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Red Ruffing, Lefty Gomez, Earle Combs, Tony Lazzeri, Joe Sewell and Bill Dickey. The balance of signers: Cy Perkins, Hank Johnson and one unidentified.

While not technically a full team signed specimen, the ball effectively targets the key figures that established the first great New York Yankees dynasty. Some surface scuffing affects a few of the names, but the Babe's sweet spot signature is a stunning 9+/10, making this a $50,000+ ball if it had remained a single. While the rules of the hobby might dictate that the addition of seven other Yankees legends would lower the price tag, it doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense, does it? For the true Yankees devotee, it really doesn't get much better than this. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
