Description
1931 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseball. No National League pennant for the long-suffering Cubs this season, but plenty of Hall of Fame talent for the modern collector. Most notable is Hack Wilson (9/10), whose signature is one of the toughest of Cooperstown residents still active in the 1930's. Joining him are Cuyler (8/10) and Root (2/10), who would surrender Babe Ruth's "Called Shot" the following year. Gabby Hartnett appears in secretarial format. Eighteen signatures are here in total, with strength ranging from 2/10 to 7/10 for those not listed above. A coating of shellac provides sheen to this ONL (Heydler) rarity. LOA from PSA/DNA.
