1930's Tour of Japan/Hawaii Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx. The handwritten date of October 11, 1932, penned by parties unknown, throws us for a bit of a loop here, as the collection of autographs that coat the surface of this OAL (Harridge) ball appear to be those of 1931 and 1934 Tourists, as well as some who were a part of neither. We'll accept this bit of mystery, though, and turn our concentration toward the princely assortment of names that decorate its surface. As is the case with any great "Tour ball," this one begins with Ruth (1/10) and Gehrig (2/10), moving on to the likes of Foxx (3/10), Mack (7/10), Gehringer (3/10), Cochrane (2/10), Appling (1/10), Lyons (3/10), Kelly (6/10), McNair (3/10) and more. Signature quality dips low enough at times that an exact count is impossible, but all listed above are readily legible. Some staining and surface wear are noted. Certainly not a pristine sphere, but an opportunity for the budget-minded collector to bring many of the game's greatest names into his private collection. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
