    Description

1930's Jim Thorpe Single Signed Baseball. Many consider him the greatest athlete of the twentieth century, an Olympic Gold Medalist, Pro Football Hall of Famer, and member of two New York Giants National League Championship baseball teams. But despite his enormous fame and ability, Thorpe remains a great challenge to modern autograph collectors, due in large part to the troubled existence that awaited him after his natural athletic gifts were sapped by the unforgiving passage of time. This is just the second single signed Thorpe ball Heritage has ever had the privilege to offer, the black fountain pen signature rating 6/10 on the speckled side panel of a Spalding Official League sphere. Considering that only a scant few examples survive in the modern hobby, one must forgive any condition issues and instead focus on the very real possibility that an opportunity at ownership might never surface again. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
