    Description

1930's Gabby Hartnett Single Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA EX 5. The man behind the plate for the Babe's controversial "Called Shot," Hartnett is best remembered today for his own historic homer, a bottom of the ninth walk-off blast into the Wrigley Field darkness to overtake the Pittsburgh Pirates late in the 1938 pennant race. The man responsible for the famous "Homer in the Gloaming" has provided a black ink side panel signature on this "Mickey Cochrane Special League" ball, a neat connection to another Hall of Fame catcher. Both the autograph and the ball itself are graded 5/10 by the experts at PSA/DNA, accounting for the grade as listed. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX 5. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
