Description

1930's Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball--Autograph Graded PSA/DNA 9. It might be the boldest Ruth autograph we've ever encountered on horsehide, the black fountain pen ink applied with such uncompromising strength that even the lofty PSA/DNA assessment of 9 seems a bit stingy. It's a signature that quite literally can be seen from fifty feet away, balanced between the two-tone stitching of a "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" sphere, second only to Official American League format in desirability.

It would appear that the ball saw some limited sandlot use prior to its meeting with the game's greatest figure, leaving the hide lightly but evenly soiled. The result is a 4 rating for the ball itself, the only factor that scuttles what otherwise would launch this remarkable relic past the quarter-million mark. But for those of us who put more stock in the message than the medium, the peerless Ruth autograph is enough to establish this as one of the elite representations of the species. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX-MT 6.5. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
