Description

1928 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. More than 100 regular seasons wins and a four-game Series sweep? The 1928 squad matched those 1927 Murderer's Row accomplishments to complete a two-season era of dominance unparalleled in the history of Major League Baseball. Here is presented a special relic from those Golden Age Bombers, a boldly stamped OAL (Barnard) ball likely signed during spring training due to the appearance of the autograph of St. Petersburg, Florida mayor Al Lang among the twenty-five signers. Hall of Fame names include Ruth (5/10), Gehrig (7/10), Pennock (8/10), Combs (7/10), Lazzeri (2/10), Durocher (1.5/10), Dickey (3/10) and Hoyt (7/10). The balance is evenly split between quite bold (6/10 or better) and quite light (4/10 or worse), but the key fellows tend toward the upper half of the split, and the delectable vintage must minimize any condition concerns. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

Another major house refused the work stating it was too unique for the artist. Heritage saw that as an advantage!
