Description

1928 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Murderer's Row was at its homicidal height when this OAL (Johnson) baseball made the rounds of the Yankee dugout, with the club poised to sweep its second consecutive World Series. We must report that the Babe Ruth signature on the sweet spot is of the clubhouse variety, but the balance of autographs is pure gold, and includes Gehrig, Huggins, Pennock, Lazzeri, Combs, Hoyt, Shocker, Meusel, Ruether, Shawkey, Dugan, Gazella and more. Twenty-three signatures are here in total, ranging in strength from 1/10 to 8/10. All listed names are quite readily legible, and represent the cream of the 1920's Yankees crop. The ball is moderately toned and exhibits a fair amount of scuffing, but still presents very nicely. A solid piece, worthy of a place of honor in any Yankees collection. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
