    Description

1928 New York Yankees Partial Team Signed Baseball. The greatest team in the history of the sport reconvenes in their balmy spring training home of St. Petersburg, Florida. We should stress that every signer here was a member of that glorious Murderer's Row team except for an unknown "Joe Shawkey," all thirteen Yankees prepping to repeat the feat in the coming 1928 campaign. Though we're short of a full roster, the original autograph collector knew how to pick them, as most of your favorites are here: Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Pennock, Combs, Hoyt, Dugan, Bengough, Meusel, Collins, Paschal, Koenig and Pipgras. Autograph quality averages an entirely respectable 7/10, with all readily legible. One autograph has been filed off, possibly that of the ball's original owner. A few more names would make this ball rocket well into the five figures, so this is an exciting opportunity for the collector looking for a quality Golden Age Yankee ball that will cost less than a new German sportscar. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
