1927 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. During the 1927 season, Rogers Hornsby took over temporarily for John McGraw as manager, and held a 22-10 record. Although finishing with ninety-two wins, the team finished third in the National League. This fine ONL (Heydler) baseball hails from that season, and offers tan coloring with a very light and even shellac coating. That said, it is one of the best shellacking jobs we've seen, and does nothing to diminish the value or aesthetics.

Front and center on the sweet spot is Hornsby himself, in fine form with a 7.5/10 signature. Hornsby more than just managed well that season, as he walloped a nice .361 average with 26 HR, 125 RBI, 205 Hits and 133 Runs. Other notables on the ball include Edd Roush (6/10), Roger Bresnahan (7/10), Fred Lindstrom (6/10), Bill Terry (5/10), Burleigh Grimes (6/10) and an eighteen-year-old Mel Ott (6.5/10). A very impressive array of Hall of Famers, and solid 6-7/10 signatures on average. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
