    Description

1927 Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson & More Signed Baseball. They'd meet again on the podium of the Cooperstown inaugural, but the OAL (Johnson) sphere presented here finds this legendary pair at one of their final encounters in competition, as the Big Train would exit the tracks at the close of the 1927 season. While the legendary pitcher was at the end, Ruth, of course, was at his prime in 1927, setting a new home run record while cruising to the World Championship as lead assassin of Murderer's Row. These two first ballot Hall of Famers rate 7/10 and 8/10 respectively, and are joined by the following later inductees: Collins (1/10), Speaker (8/10), Lyons (8/10), Harris (8/10), Lazzeri (5/10), Cobb (1/10), Gehrig (2/10), Huggins (1/10), Sisler (9/10), Schalk (9/10). Light shellac. Note that unique stamping style of the ball assures 1927 vintage. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
