1926 Chuck Dressen Single Signed Baseball. He labored over forty years in a Major League Baseball uniform, perhaps most memorably as manager of the early 1950's Brooklyn Dodgers during an era of dominance at Ebbets. Here we find the veteran baseball man just two years into that long tenure, charmingly inscribing the presented ONL (Heydler) sphere, "To My Little Friend Eddie Smith From Chas. Dressen, Cincinnati Reds, May 9th, 1926." The date coincides with a four to one loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates at Redland Field. Dressen's inscription ranges from 8/10 to 9/10 on the toned horsehide. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
