    Description

1925 Walter Johnson Signed Baseball. The greatest pitcher in the American League toiled for eighteen seasons before Fall Classic glory was earned, and the Big Train was enjoying his role as defending World Champion when he autographed this OAL (Johnson) ball for a fan. His black fountain pen ink projects with 7/10 boldness from the sweet spot. A date of "July 1925" is applied just below in an unknown hand. We must note that scattered abrasions on the ball are indicative of signature removals, but the sphere presents quite convincingly as a true single. A splendid artifact from Johnson's final American League Championship season. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
