1925 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseball. Experiments with three different managers during the 1925 season couldn't keep the Cubs out of the National League's basement, but the team's fanbase is famous for its faithfulness regardless of circumstance, so we expect strong interest in this rare relic. Only one or two Cubs balls from the decade surface during any auction calendar year, and this one provides the twin billing of Grover Cleveland Alexander and Gabby Hartnett, the former applied to the sweet spot in 6/10 ink. The balance of autographs (twenty in total) often strains the eyes, but Chuck Dressen is quite bold, as well as some fine cartoon drawing signed "Shafer." ONL (Heydler). Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
