1924 World Series Reunion Signed Baseball with President Truman.

UPDATE: Please note that this baseball was improperly described in our printed catalog. We regret the error and direct bidders to the new description below.

Extraordinary OAL (Harridge) baseball almost certainly dates to 1954, the thirty-year anniversary of one of the most thrilling World Series in the sport's history. We come to that determination by the unique cast of signers, and the narrow range of years between the debut of this Reach stamping format and the passing of the legendary Clark Griffith, whose blue ink signature adorns the sweet spot. President Harry Truman represents the only signature applied by a man absent from that 1924 Fall Classic, the presence of such an esteemed dignitary on the ball likewise lending credence to the theory of Fall Classic derivation. The thirteen autographs joining the President's include the aforementioned Griffith, Travis Jackson, Freddy Lindstrom, Billy Southworth, Bill Terry, Nick Altrock, Al Schacht, Championship-winning base runner Muddy Ruel and Irish Meusel, from whose personal collection the ball derives. Minor ink migration results in a slight haziness to the autographs, but they remain quite bold and readily legible, as our catalog imagery should convey. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
