    1924 Baseball World Tour Team Signed Baseball from Morehart Estate. We were a bit stumped by this ball upon first inspection. It derives from the family of Ray Morehart, so the appearance of signatures from Charles Comiskey, Ted Lyons and Red Faber made us initially think this was a Chicago White Sox team sphere. But that theory was quickly scuttled by the discovery of John McGraw, Travis Jackson and Frank Frisch, all Hall of Fame members of the New York Giants. Soon we realized that we held in our hands an astounding rarity, one of just a few known signed baseballs to survive from the famed 1924 Baseball World Tour, the historic European joint excursion of the ChiSox and Giants just six years after the close of World War I. Twenty-one signatures are visible in total, with Bancroft, Groh, Walsh and Morehart himself joining the aforementioned stars. Autograph quality ranges from barely visible to 8/10, with all listed names readily legible. Condition issues must be excused in light of the tremendous rarity, of course. ONL (Heydler).
