1924 Baseball World Tour Signed Baseball with Related Memorabilia. One of two signed baseballs from the historic 1924 World Tour presented within this auction, each from the estate of infielder Ray Morehart, who had the good fortune of Chicago White Sox membership the year the team crossed the Atlantic with the New York Giants. The OAL (Johnson) ball has suffered from handling wear over the passing decades, but the following autographs are still readily legible: Charles Comiskey, Dave Bancroft, Frank Frisch, Heinie Groh and Morehart himself. The rest challenge the eye significantly. But the deal is sweetened by some fascinating relics from the journey: 1) S.S. Leviathan berthing card issued to Morehart. 2) S.S. Leviathan menu for Thanksgiving dinner. 3) S.S. Leviathan booklet with passenger list of all Tour participants. 4) Canadian Pacific booklet with passenger list of all Tour participants. 5) Canadian Pacific dinner menu from journey. 6) Postcard send home from Dublin, handwritten, signed "Love, Ray." 7) Diary/address book issued by ship. Details journey home across Atlantic. Address portion lists many famous ballplayer friends. Signed by Morehart on inside front cover in 10/10 pencil. 8) Banquet menu from England honoring Tourists. All memorabilia exhibits general handling wear but no troubles. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.Auction Info
