    Description

1923 First Pitch at Opening of Yankee Stadium Original Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Al Smith had quite a bit of Opening Day pressure on him in 1923. It was the Governor of New York who was bestowed with the honor of throwing out the ceremonious first pitch to open Yankee Stadium. This 6.5x8.5" photo shows Smith in full motion. A caption is affixed to the back and folded over. A "Keystone View Co. Inc. of N.Y." stamp appears on back. A half inch tear is partially concealed by the caption on front. The lower left corner is missing. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
