1922 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. It's one of the toughest Yankees balls out there--in fact, just one other has sold in the past dozen years within a major sports auction format. Here's the second, its vintage assured by the intersection of Frank "Home Run" Baker (4/10) in his final year of Major League service and Everett Scott (3/10) engaged in his first pinstriped campaign. And, of course, the mighty Babe, a season away from the House that He Built and the Yanks' first World Championship, appears on the sweet spot of the OAL (Johnson) orb. He's the boldest of the bunch at 7/10. Other notables: Wally Pipp, Carl Mays, Bob Meusel. There are seven easily legible autographs, with the rest ranging from almost to completely gone. Nobody could call it a pristine example, but if you're looking to complete your Yankees run the wait for the next opportunity for ownership could be a decade or more. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
