1920's Miller Huggins Signed Baseball. A great garage sale find for our lucky consignor, who noticed this OAL (Johnson) ball amidst the board games and baby clothes. Most noteworthy among the signatures is the pint-sized Hall of Fame Yankees manager, who signs in his standard "MJ Huggins" variation. Framing his autograph are those of fellow Bronx Bombers Sam Jones and Everett Scott, likely narrowing the date of the sphere to the 1922 to 1925 range. Each of these autographs rates 5/10 in boldness. Brooklyn Dodgers part owner S.W. McKeever (2/10) is here as well, with Gunboat Hudson and Jack Fournier (each 8/10). The former young owner of the ball has applied his name as well in a childlike hand. Huggins' sudden and early death in 1929 has made his autograph a tough find, particularly on a baseball, so this is a fine opportunity to fill a hole in your collection. Don't let it pass by. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
