1920's John McGraw Single Signed Baseball. We wouldn't know the name John McGraw if not for the man for whom he autographed this baseball, a gentleman named Albert Kenny who gave McGraw the job of bat boy for his Elmira, New York baseball team and later a spot on the roster. As McGraw's skills grew, it was Kenny who encouraged McGraw to try out for the Baltimore Orioles, where he joined the greatest managerial master class ever assembled, with Ned Hanlon as professor and McGraw, Hughie Jennings, Wilbert Robinson and Kid Gleason as pupils. McGraw's black fountain pen signature is a light but legible 2.5/10 on the side panel of this ONL (Heydler) ball, but the intense rarity of the piece, and the remarkable provenance from the Kenny family, makes it a treasure in any condition. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
