    Description

1920's Hall of Famers Multi-Signed Baseball with Ruth, Cobb, Johnson. Though the All-Star game officially debuted in 1933, the event that brought these pre-war luminaries together boasted the same degree of outrageous talent as those earliest Midsummer Classics. Eleven gentlemen who would one day find themselves immortalized at Cooperstown are among the eighteen signatures on this OAL (Johnson) ball, beginning with Ruth, who takes his customary sweet spot position with his early quotation-marked "Babe" style. Cobb appears upside-down to Ruth's left, while Heilmann sneaks in upside-down and directly above. Mack and Sisler are to the right, while the other panels boast Speaker, Johnson, Simmons, Huggins, Pennock and Harris. All rate from an easily legible 4/10 to 8/10 in quality. The ball is mildly and evenly toned with some moderate surface scuffing that accounts for the majority of the points lost in signature quality--the ink remains quite bold. It's tough to imagine a baseball with a more impressive line-up of top tier Hall of Famers, and we're certain that true baseball historians will bid aggressively to own this historic artifact. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
