    Description

1916 Brooklyn Robins Team Signed Reunion (1949) Baseball. The very first squad to raise a National League pennant in the Ebbets Field winds met at the St. George Hotel in New York City on October 7, 1949, the evening after the New York Yankees claimed a tight four to three victory over the Bums in Game Three of the World Series. Presented is a high-quality relic of that old timers' summit featuring eighteen autographs of Wilbert Robinson's old crew. Chief among them is a member of the enemy camp, the newly-christened Yankees manager Casey Stengel, who joins Zack Wheat and Rube Marquard in Cooperstown credentials. Other notables include Rucker, Meyers, Pfeffer, Cheney, Cutshaw, Johnston and more. Light shellac has proven most effective, preserving the signatures at an average 9/10. Almost certainly the finest specimen that survives from the occasion, if not the only one as well. ONL (Frick). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
