2012 Derek Jeter Signed Game Used Base from Final American League Divisional Series. After two full decades, "The Captain" is calling it quits. By the time of this auction, Derek Jeter will have hung up his cleats for good as the Yankees' all-time hits leader, with over 3,400 in his career. Add to that a lifetime average of .309 and 260 home runs, and the result is a model of consistency for the boys in pinstripes. Voted and All-Star fourteen time, Jeter won five World Series championships, one World Series MVP, AL Rookie of the Year, and even the Hank Aaron and Roberto Clemente Awards. Respected by his peers as one of the best of his generation, Jeter has a future spot in the Hall of Fame already carved out for him.

With such a resume, it is no surprise that Jeter memorabilia is in high demand this final season, and should continue down this path for the foreseeable future. As an alternative to a game used bat or jersey, this game used base offers heavy dirt and use, as well as a nice Jeter signature in 5/10 quality. The first base is from the 2012 ALDS against the Baltimore Orioles and represented Jeter's final two ALDS hits. MLB Authentic EK 276912. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
