1980-83 Johnny Bench Game Used Bat. A late career gamer from the superstar backstop of the Big Red Machine. Who knows how many of the Hall of Fame catcher's 389 lifetime homers were launched from the barrel of this signature model Louisville Slugger B278? The authenticators offer glowing praise of the use, describing it as "Heavy," a term they use again to describe the ball marks, which have left deeply imbedded stitch imprints in the barrel. Rack marks and a five-inch handle crack add to the heaps of wear. A markered number "5" identifier is found on the knob, which has been chipped at the edge. Finally, a perfect black sharpie inscription on the barrel is here, stating "Catch Ya Later, Johnny Bench." Tale of the tape: thirty-five inches and thirty-three ounces. A spectacular specimen. MEARS A7. LOA from PSA/DNA.
