1974 Hank Aaron Ties Babe Ruth in Career Home Runs Game Used Dugout Cards (2). After a long and dangerous summer during which his mailbox was filled with death threats and racist diatribes from those defensive of the Babe's career home run record, Hammerin' Hank pulled even with the Yankee legend in front of a packed Opening Day crowd at Cincinnati's Crosley Field. And, as reports have it, almost all of the 50,000 enemy fans stood and cheered the newly crowned King. Presented are the dugout scorecards from the day Aaron sat hip to hip upon the throne with the sport's greatest name. Four days later, Aaron would claim it for his own.

Sparky Anderson's hand signed card lists the framework of the Big Red Machine World Champions to come, with Rose, Morgan, Perez, Bench, Griffey and Concepcion, and is signed by the Hall of Fame skipper in pencil at the close. Fellow Hall of Famer Eddie Mathews completed the Atlanta card, with Aaron properly installed in the clean up spot. Each card is dated "4-4-74" and exhibits expected handling wear but no problems worthy of note. Dimensions of each 5.25x7". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
