    Description

1970's Rube Marquard Single Signed Baseball. Five times a National League Champ but never a Series victor, Marquard is properly recalled as one of the finest southpaws in the game's history, finally earning his Cooperstown plaque at eighty-four years of age. The original collector made note of Marquard's 1971 induction just below the 9/10 black ink inscription the elderly legend applied to the sweet spot of the presented ONL (Feeney) sphere. Some yellowing of the hide, typical of many of the Haiti-manufactured balls, does little to detract. A very tough single absent from some pretty impressive collections. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
