1970's Baseball Greats Signed Index Cards Lot of Approximately 740. This autograph collection was assembled in the 1970's and spans the American League. The person who went through the exhaustive effort of collecting signatures did so on a number of mediums. Many of the ballplayers (215 by our count) signed the reverse of pink 50/50 raffle tickets (6x2.5" with perforation folded) in period ballpoint. Others (359) penned their identity to index cards. There are also 144 signed 1972 Oldsmobile tickets (4x3") by other big leaguers. Another twenty-one signed pieces of parchment and seven pieces of team-signed stationery complete the collection. Some duplication is found. Highlights include: Lyman Bostock (duplication), Rod Carew, Charlie Gehringer, Dick Howser, Elston Howard, Hank Aaron, Dan Frisella, Dan Thomas, Aurelio Rodriguez, Pete Vukovich, George Brett (multiples), Billy Martin, Mark Fidrych, Danny Thompson, Brooks Robinson, Sparky Anderson, Joe Nuxhall, Howard Cosell and many more. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
