    Description

1969 New York Mets Team Signed Baseball with Team Letter! What a thrill for young "Master Jason Trout," who wrote to Shea Stadium during the most glorious season in the Mets' short history to request a souvenir. On team letterhead, he received the included message (still housed in original mailing envelope): "Mrs. Payson has asked that we send to you, under separate cover, an autographed baseball with the compliments of the New York Mets." Clearly the boy cherished the World Championship-season gift, as the ONL (Giles) sphere remains in simply stellar condition, the twenty-seven autographs (not counting the stamped Hodges on the sweet spot) rating 9/10 at a very conservative minimum with hardly an exception. Notables include Seaver, Ryan, Kranepool, Koosman, Swoboda, Harrelson, Agee and more. The original owner's initials are discreetly penned near the Spalding logo. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
