1968 "Sports Illustrated" Signed by 8 St. Louis Cardinals. With the 1967 World Series already under its belt, the '68 Cards were eager to repeat, enlisting baseball's highest paid outfit at the time for the task. The cover of this October 1968 issue of Sports Illustrated features an unbelievable locker room shot of the team's starting lineup in civilian clothes, each posed next to their uniform and locker. HOF manager Red Schoendienst is also pictured here in his formal Cardinals attire. The NRMT issue has been signed on the cover by eight: Schoendienst, Tim McCarver, Bob Gibson, Mike Shannon, Lou Brock, Orlando Cepeda, Julian Javier, and Dal Maxvill. LOA from PSA/DNA.
