    Description

1967 Bruce Lee & Linda Lee Signed Checks, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. After The Green Hornet TV show was canceled in 1967, Bruce Lee focused on teaching students at his Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, where some of his more notable students included Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Chuck Norris, James Garner, Lee Marvin, George Lazenby, Roman Polanski, and Sharon Tate. That same year, he also unveiled his newly developed hybrid martial arts philosophy called Jeet Kune Do (or the Way of the Intercepting Fist) which incorporated parts from other classic fighting styles, while placing an increased emphasis on practicality, flexibility, speed, and efficiency. Lee believed that most of the traditional fighting styles were too formalized and restrictive and he sought to create "the style of no style."

The two checks presented here are both made payable to the "Jun Fan Gong Fu Institute" and dated three to four months before Lee founded his new Jeet Kune Do system. One is signed Bruce Lee is 9.5/10 black felt tip. The other is signed "Mrs. Bruce Lee" in 9/10 black ballpoint. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8 (Bruce Lee check).
