    Description

1963 Jackie Robinson Signed Check, PSA/DNA MINT 9. Any Robinson check is highly collectible, but this one is particularly special, made payable to "Chock Full o' Nuts," the coffee company that hired the heroic baseball pioneer upon his 1956 retirement. We may never know why Robinson was paying his employer, but we can report that all writing and the "Jack R. Robinson" signature at lower right are rendered in the Hall of Famer's 9+/10 blue ink. Check is matted and framed beneath a classic photo of Robinson to final dimensions of 13x19". Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA MINT 9. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
