    Description

1962 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. Two years removed from the glorious 1960 World Championship season, the presented sphere provides most of the same stars which had made the earlier incarnation so successful. Most important is the Hall of Fame pairing of Clemente and Mazeroski, each appearing in the same 9/10 blue ballpoint ink which characterizes the majority of autographs on the ball. Also here are Friend, Virdon, Hoak, Face, Groat (affected by surface loss), Burgess, Haddix, Sturdivant and more. Murtaugh appears in secretarial format. Some small divots in the ball affect four signatures, and only one listed above. Four unlisted signatures are quite light, but all the rest rate 6/10 or better. ONL (Giles) ball. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
