    Description

1962 Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris Multi Signed Baseball. After the insanity of the 1961 season for Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris, they were probably glad to get to the 1962 season and have the home run battle over with. In February of 1962, photographer Ozzie Sweet was assigned to do a photo shoot with the pair at their spring training complex. His assistant that year was Nick Scutti, and after the shoot, Scutti picked up a practice baseball from the field and asked the "M&M Boys" to sign it. The result is what is offered here in this lot. An OAL (Cronin) baseball, tanned and scuffed from use, it bears the signatures of Mantle on the sweet spot in 9/10 ink and Maris on his traditional side panel in similar 9/10 quality. Don't miss out on a rare chance to get this pair of significant signatures on a period ball with stellar provenance. Comes with a copy of the story from Scutti. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
