    Description

1960's Roberto Clemente Single Signed Baseball. He gave his Pittsburgh fans the privilege of witnessing his 3,000th career hit before giving his life in a tragic airplane accident during the subsequent off-season while on a humanitarian aid mission to Nicaragua. Joining the likes of Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson as the best and bravest in baseball history, Clemente should be considered an essential component of any quality autograph collection. Here we present an exceptional specimen, quite literally one of the finest autographs of the Puerto Rican superstar we've ever encountered on horsehide. His 9/10 blue ink signature appears on the side panel of an apparently game used ONL (Giles) ball, which resides in its original Spalding box, clearly the key to its fine state of preservation. A gorgeous representation for the uncompromising collector. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
