    Description

1960's Jimmy Foxx Signed Gold HOF Plaque Postcard. One of the all-time greats of the 1930's and 1940's, Jimmie Foxx provided a massive wallop at the plate for several teams, including Philadelphia and Boston. He was easily one of the strongest players of his era, with muscles built from working a farm and lifting hay bales. He became the second person to join Babe Ruth in the 500 Home Run Club, and also won a pair of World Series championships to boot.

Always one of the key signatures in a Gold HOF Plaque Postcard set, Foxx passed away in 1967, giving only a couple of years for fans to get his signature on this item. The offered lot is a decent example, although there is tape on the reverse, along with a stamped signature, and the front autograph is smeared somewhat. The signature rates a 6/10 but still fills a gaping hole in many collector's sets. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
