    1960's Baseball Hall of Famers Handwritten Letters Lot of 6. Fascinating archive of six single-page letters to a young collector tells the stories of early legends' greatest thrills in baseball. Excerpts of each are as follows. 1) Travis Jackson. "when they told me in 1922 while playing for Little Rock that I was sold to the New York Giants." 2) Jesse Haines. "when I pitched a no hit no run game on the 17th day of July 1924." 3) George Kelly. "to sit on the bench with such great ball players as Larry Doyle, Christy Mathewson, Chief Meyers, Art Fletcher, Fred Merkel and many others." 4) Joe Sewell. "when I crossed the plate Babe Ruth, who they all come out to see hit a home run, shook my hand and said, you picked me up today, kid." 5) Harry Hooper. "with Christy Mathewson pitching we scored two in our half to win the game & the Series." 6) Rube Marquard. "in 1915 pitching a no hit game against Brooklyn."
