    Description

1960 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The American League pennant holders were denied a World Championship this season by Mazeroski's historic homer, but this Bronx Bombers club remains one of the post-war era's finest. The arrival of Roger Maris on the scene, who would claim the 1960 MVP Award, played a role, as did the services of superstars Mantle, Berra, Ford, Howard, Duren, Richardson and more. All are present on this OAL (Cronin) ball, along with Hall of Famers Bill Dickey and Casey Stengel, the latter almost never found on team balls in non-clubhouse format. Twenty-nine autographs are here in total, averaging an impressive 8/10 in strength. An unknown hand dates the ball to "June 23, 60," which corresponds with a two to one loss at Tiger Stadium. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
