1959 Vince Lombardi Signed Green Bay Packers Check Made Out to Jack Vainisi, PSA/DNA Authentic. True Packers fans know that Vince Lombardi would have never considered going to Green Bay if not for the encouragement/prodding of scout Jack Vainisi. The team's board of directors became a nuisance and hindered its growth. It was Vainisi who eventually gained Lombardi's trust and displayed a keen eye for talent. It was also Vainisi who drafted the talent which Lombardi molded into winners. Tragically, Vainisi died at the age of 33, making his autograph a tough find. This payroll check is dated "8-12 [19]59", just as the Lombardi's era in GB was dawning. General wrinkling and handling wear exhibited throughout. Lombardi endorses the $100 note in solid ballpoint under the signature of President Dominic Olejniczak. Sadly, the elusive signature of Vainisi did not find its way on to the note, but the connection alone may be enough for many cheeseheads. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
