    Description

1959 Ty Cobb Single Signed Baseball with Fantastic Provenance. Original owner's letter of provenance reads, "My mother in 1959 took my Little League baseball to Ty Cobb who was in Emory Hospital. She was a nurse there. She asked Mr. Cobb to sign it for my birthday. I was 12 yrs. old at the time." And, sure enough, that's exactly what we find, an Official Little League ball inscribed to the boy, "To Thomas McElroy From Ty Cobb, 12/14/59." The inscription is applied to the side panel in 8.5/10 blue ink. The ball is lightly and evenly toned, only enhancing the vintage aesthetics. A quality example of one of the hobby's most essential singles. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
